working on a scenic painting this time. well, i haven't actually started painting it, it's still in the sketch stage because perspective is a real nit-picky thing... and i wouldn't want you to feel like you were falling out of the painting or anything!
i also have 2 little 8 inch square canvases with a storybook ocean, boat, and lighthouse that i'm hoping turns out cute to sell as a set for a child's room or maybe a nautical-loving person...
that's all i got, time to make the doughnuts.

here's the latest painting. inspired by a poster i bought from the dollar tree. i love vintage clothing and i think i may look for more to paint but,  i really need to start trying to venture out from copying other people's stuff... work from photos or something. i have become so enraptured with painting, i have abandoned all other crafting at this point. i miss scrapbooking and my afghan of granny squares waits sadly in a basket for me. i just don't have enough time to do it all. i'm beginning to see the difference in brushes and techniques and finding that some things don't work for me. i would love to step outside the box and paint a little more abstract sometimes but, it is extremely difficult for me to paint "messy". that sounds ridiculous but, it's true. everything is so organized and compartmentalized in my brain (well, it tries real hard to be) and to mess up the picture my eye/brain sees is just too hard. oh, well, i'll analize it another day. i gotta start a new painting!
i don't know what to call this one... it's not quite so yellow-y in real life but, i have sucky lighting and i need a new camera...
and i really need to get rid of that datestamp. did you notice that it's tomorrow already?
